Sanding before fibreglassing
July 1st, 2009 Edit
I filled the screw holes with an epoxy and sawdust mix
After curing, the surface was very bumpy and set like rock
I sanded the really rough stuff off with a mouse sander (and a bit with the belt sander but it’s easy to get carried away and remove a load of plywood as well!)
I then used the high tech long board sander. This is a length of old pine from an old bed, with a handle and a length of sandpaper stapled onto it. This required a lot of elbow grease and a lot of sanding

…and more sanding…
…and more sanding…
…and more sanding…
